The Velvet Chateau Recording Studio is located in an old Victorian home built in 1877, the same year Thomas Edison created the phonograph. That spirit of invention is mixed with a modern 32-track digital and 16-track analog recording studio experience. Professional and amateur clients can book short or long term recording projects, and sessions include the talents of our select engineers/producers (or, bring your own). Plus, we have the flexibility to work with a variety of budgets.

With the aid of Pro Tools, an analog Trident Series 65 console, a Tascam ATR 60 tape machine, a great selection of microphones, vintage gear, several live tracking rooms, and the natural acoustics of a stately Victorian house with hardwood floors and high ceilings, this studio makes for a exceptionally creative and comfortable environment for artists, engineers and producers alike.

Located just two blocks from beautiful downtown Lake Geneva, WI, we’re close to a variety of restaurants, hotels and entertainment. Or, feel free to relax in our studio lounge. Many Chicago, Milwaukee and Madison clients find our location (within 45-90 minutes from each city) close enough for a regular commute, but just far enough away to escape the interruptions of being close to home. We have extra bedrooms where you can crash after those late night sessions.
